Product Description

Non Tight Aluminum Stranded Wire

Non tight aluminum stranded wire is an overhead power conductor made of high-purity electrolytic aluminum pulled into circular single wires, processed by concentric twisting technology, and not subjected to tight pressing treatment, abbreviated as "ordinary round aluminum stranded wire". Its core characteristics are the retention of natural gaps after conductor twisting, strong flexibility, simple processing technology, and lower cost compared to compressed conductors. It is the basic transmission carrier of medium and low voltage overhead distribution networks and widely applicable to scenarios with high requirements for conductor flexibility and complex construction environments.

Structure:

Monofilament foundation: Monofilament is a standard circular cross-section with a diameter determined by the wire specifications. The surface is smooth and free of burrs, and it has been annealed to enhance flexibility.

Gap characteristics: After twisting, uniform gaps are naturally formed between the single wires, with a total gap rate of about 15% -20%. There is no additional mechanical compression process, and the conductor as a whole maintains a "loose but stable" structural state.

Core characteristics:

High flexibility: Without compression treatment, the single wire can be slightly misaligned, and the stress is dispersed when the wire is bent. The bending radius is 30% -40% smaller than that of compression type, suitable for narrow spaces or multi corner laying.

Easy to process and repair: Circular monofilaments are easy to purchase and replace, and can be replaced separately in case of partial breakage, with low maintenance costs.

Electrical performance:

DC resistance: Due to the presence of natural gaps, the resistance under the same cross-section is slightly higher than that of compressed aluminum stranded wire, but still meets the requirements of medium and low voltage transmission loss.

Current carrying capacity: Under ambient temperature of 25 ℃ and no wind conditions, the current carrying capacity of 16mm ² is about 80A, 50mm ² is about 145A, and 95mm ² is about 220A, which is 5% -8% lower than that of the compression type. It is suitable for medium and low voltage distribution loads.

Construction parameters:

Installation temperature: The recommended construction temperature is -10 ℃~40 ℃. When the temperature is below -10 ℃, the brittleness of the aluminum wire increases, and severe bending should be avoided. Local heating (above 5 ℃) measures can be taken.

Maximum allowable tension: Construction tension ≤ 40% of the minimum failure load to prevent single filament tensile fracture.

Application scenarios:

Rural power grid renovation: adapted to low-voltage household lines in rural areas, with strong flexibility to bypass trees and houses, lightweight to reduce the construction cost of field towers, and convenient maintenance.

Urban village power distribution: used for 10kV branch lines and 0.4kV household lines in urban villages, which are easily bent and laid in narrow spaces, adapting to complex building layouts.

Low voltage weak current matching: Low voltage weak current systems such as street lamp lines and courtyard lighting lines in residential areas, with a current carrying capacity that meets low-power requirements and high construction convenience.
